St. Charles Artist Michael Cane is a landscape painter who mostly focuses on the beauty of the fox valley.  This framed oil painting, ‘The Heavens’ is of a scene from Elgin, Illinois. Facing westward on an extremely cold spring day the sun was still a bit high in the sky, scattering its light over a frozen water soaked harvested corn field.  The icy tracks lead wonderfully toward the church in the background.
